Lots of things have happened to me this year. I got married with the most amazing woman in the world, I quit my three-year-old job at a badly managed or otherwise promising company, and I set myself a goal without knowing where it would lead me.
Now, with only 140 pages left, I've almost prepared myself, by reading a 1659-page dictionary, to start self-training to become a competent translator. I will start self-training by following a book by Zhong Shukong with instructions in conference translation and interpretation.
But, before that, I have to complete a project that will earn me some keep.
